Essay

A one page report briefly dealing with the facts of the case and opinion based solely on the medical records. The patient will not have been seen in this report.

Interim

A three page interim report detailing the history, findings, prognosis, opinion and costs, prior to full report being authorized, after examination of the patient.

Comprehensive

A full report detailing the instructions, history, points involved, examination, prognosis, opinion, conclusion, full biog and glossary of terms, copy radiographs etc to support the report.

Additional/Supplemental

A brief report written after the comprehensive report detailing any updates since the original report and how this affects the case.
